We sampled kiwi and Aussie mums with a Conni Kids bed pad through website "kidspot" and here's what they had to say....
natmac - 8:32 PM Tue-10-May-2011 aidiebabe - We have just been away on holiday, and the great thing was I was able to take the bed pad with us and just pop it on the bed! So easy. We are just using as protection from the odd leaking pull up at night. gillymama - Miss 3 has had dry nights every night except for the night hubby forgot to take her to the loo before putting her to bed. She woke in the morning absolutley soaked from armpits to knees but the bed pad saved the bed yet again. It doesn't seem to hold the urine smell like our old bed pads do. kiwimel - It would seem that Master 2 yr old is now dry during the day for sleeping!! That seemed very easy, am I missing something? I feel the bed pad has made a big impression on him and he felt confident on it as was I knowing that I don't have to worry about the bed. Previous Testimonials We have been using the Conni Bedpad for my son for the last two years. Initially we used it as part of his toilet training program however have continued to use this as a mattress protector as it is so absorbent. She says the staff find them wonderful because they wash so well, dry so quickly and are showing no signs of wear after several washes - the previous brand would show wear and tear after only 2-3 washes with backing layers beginning to separate. My daughter is 5 next month and a few months ago was terribly upset at having to wear a "pull-up" at night, which by morning would be extremely full and heavy and it would often leak. I did wonder whether wearing this was making my daughter lazy and it was all too convenient. I would dress my daughter in her pyjamas at night and she might then stay up for another half hour. In that time, if she needed a wee she would do it in the "pull-up" rather than go to the toilet, even though she has been dry during the day since the age of 2. She did not see the point in visiting the toilet because she was wearing the "pull-up". I then saw on sale a Conni Kids Bedpad and promptly bought it. I must admit I was rather skeptical. The first night it went on the bed, an "accident" occurred and my daughter was incredibly upset but we told her not to worry and we still gave her stars on her chart for going to the toilet before bed and when she got up in the morning. In the first week, she had to complete 10 stars to receive a "surprise". Following that week we set other amounts of stars to keep up the momentum and encouragement - all nights that followed were completely dry and I can completely and honestly state that in the 3 months since purchasing the bedpad we have only had 3 wet nights. My daughter is ecstatic and, of course, we are too as she is so proud and happy about her achievement. Of course, the other added benefit is the savings made by not having to buy any more "pull-ups". We also have a son and when he is old enough the Conni Kids bedpad will already be here ready for his use too. Lastly, we never had to go through the constant nightmare of the early-hours, complete bed-strips until our child was dry. The Conni Kids bedpad is one of the best things I have ever bought for my children and I have been recommending it not only to my friends but to my local childcare centre and even to complete strangers (obviously those with children!!) We have had mostly dry nights for 6 months now and if he does wet the bed pad soaks up all the wee and I don't have wet sheets or have to put the mattress outside. I have tried about 6 other types of waterproof pads at home and none of them work. The only one bad thing I find is as I don't have a dryer it can be hard to get the pad dry on a wet and cold day. Thank you for the speedy delivery of our kids bed pad which was ordered on the Monday & arrived on the Wednesday of the same week. In the past couple of weeks since having it my 6 year old son’s episodes have declined dramatically. I have had to wash it only 3 times in the 3 weeks and it has been partially dried in our tumble dryer on low heat setting and is working effectively. It is the perfect size for his bed & I do not have to wash his complete bedding anymore!. Nicolas is enjoying the sticker reward chart and is happy each time we add another to it. It shows how he is succeeding in reaching his goals , not only the rewards, but also not waking up wet each morning. We had tried the bed alarm but all that achieved was me waking up , changing him & popping him in our bed for the remainder of the night, which meant less sleep for me. So I am truly grateful for your wonderful product and packaging & would have no hesitation in recommending it to any of our friends. Thanks Again. Thursday 26th October 2006 Just to let you know that I really like this product (Pick-Pocket). I have had my Pick-Pocket for several months and I feel so much more professional without those bulging pockets I had before and I have everything to hand. My first week as a new graduate nurse last year I wore my pedometer to work and I clocked up seven km for the whole day, I soon got more organised but I'm even better organised now. I have just started on a new ward where no one else has a Pick-Pocket. Some have laughed at me for having so much stuff but then they are happy when I have tape or scissors to lend them. Over the last few years I have made a number of orders and given them to the staff on the unit - they have been a great success! When students come to our unit on placement they often ask us about the Pick-Pockets and we are happy to give them an order form and extol their usefulness. The usefulness of the pockets is not only confined to nursing staff. On our unit some of the Allied Health professionals in our team have asked about the pockets to carry pens, tape measures and so on, rather than a pencil case that is prone to being lost, and I have been happy to give them one. I just wanted to write to you to let you know what a total success the Conni sleep mat was for my son Joshua. He is 3 1/2 and has always worn a nappy to bed. He has been toilet trained during the day for over a year so I have been ready for him to be dry at night for some time.
I came to your stand at the Parent and Child Show last week and bought 2 of the Conni Kids bed pads. I have a 7 year old son who has always been a bed wetter and a 3 year old son who is just learning to be dry at night. Ater only 1 week of using these I am SOOOO impressed! The boys love them! They love their charts and proudly put the stickers on each mornng they are dry (which has been more than ever now after getting rid of the pull-ups!) Even if they do wet during the night the bed pad still feels bone dry the next morning and I have not noticed any yucky smell. I really wish I had these years ago! And they would make great play mats for babies!
